Data is Beautiful and we want to reward the best visualisation or artistic representation of data. This could include data visualisation tools, info graphic, interactive websites, Maybe it's a digital movie of photos or an Artistic sculpture or 3d project.

DRIVE - Driving on Road Information for Vehicles

DRIVE is a website designed to be easily understood by the masses.

The website currently contains 3 pages, Home Page, Fatalities and Roads. These pages combined contain information about safety, road tolls plus quick facts, roads, maps and reviews.

Search engines are found throughout the website, allowing people to find specific data.

Maps provided by Google Maps are simple, yet inform the public  about roads. This includes surface, distance and traffic. On this same page, members of the website can review roads, also giving a star rating out of five.

AusEd is a website designed to explore possible causes of a highly unacceptable low student retention rate in Australian Schools; whether there is a social, medical, health or a combination of these as causes.

If so, then need for policy changes.

The website is available to everyone who is interested in making a difference to the economic and society state of Australia. The website uses various data sources to determine possible causes to the low retention rate by displaying in a colourful and attractive way so that the data can easily be interpreted.

Our GovHack project allows end-users to create photomosaic images from photographic datasets avaiable on the Data.SA open portal.  This is a visually dynamic way to showcase the thousands of images available to view and gives the user an opportunity to display these photos in a fun and engaging way.

Walk by WiFi. Is an interactive application developed Drew Hutton for the GovHack Data unleashed competition in mount gambier.

This application has been developed for the general community in need of data when out and about. In order to achieve this kind of functionality a couple of data sets were necessary to use, these included the “Adelaide Free Access Point Locations” dataset and the Australian beau of statistics “Characteristics of Internet Access”.
