The Unleashed Premiers Awards

Eligibility Criteria: 
The entry must use at least one dataset that is published on the Data.SA Open data portal.

The Unleashed Premier's Award is offered to two separate projects that demonstrate the most likelihood of being developed further, either for commercial application or community or government use. Entry in this prize category requires a commitment to deliver the Project within 12 months, including the completion of a New Venture Dorm powered by Mega accelerator program. The Prize includes development funding of $12,500 provided by the Office Of Digital Government and mentoring support provided from our Platinum award sponsors New Venture Institute, Majoran and Chiliad Consulting. The cash component of the prize ($12,500) is awarded on the basis of certain milestones being achieved in the development and establishment of the business associated with the winning concept.

DRIVE - Driving on Road Information for Vehicles

DRIVE is a website designed to be easily understood by the masses.

The website currently contains 3 pages, Home Page, Fatalities and Roads. These pages combined contain information about safety, road tolls plus quick facts, roads, maps and reviews.

Search engines are found throughout the website, allowing people to find specific data.

Maps provided by Google Maps are simple, yet inform the public  about roads. This includes surface, distance and traffic. On this same page, members of the website can review roads, also giving a star rating out of five.

BiblioFile seeks to increase social connection through reading- like Tinder for book lovers. It uses public library open data to notify uses of other people with similar reading interests and to connect people with the books that they love. Users can connect with other people who like to read- regardless of location- both online and in the real world. Books can be searched for and requested through the One Card Network - and if it is not available they can request that it is purchased by their local library.

Currently searching for patents and claims are hard and for new businesses that have a great idea, they want to find out if their idea has already been patented.
