AR-POI GovHack Placemarker Concept
Team Name:

Augmented Reality Point of Interest (AR-POI) is a mobile app for visualising geospatial features via markers superimposed over the live camera view (on a mobile phone or tablet). In the near future this app could be be adapted to work on head-mounted wearables such as Google Glass or ported to run on Microsoft HoloLens.

Point of Interest is a subject term, it depends on what the user is actually interested in at any given time. For the purpose of demonstrating the proof of concept Historical Places, Things, Organisations, Images and Events will be sourced from the SA History Hub GEOJSON Endpoint and the State Library of SA Photographs and National Library of Australia Trove.
